General Ivan Čermak confirmed last night for Dnevnik 3 HTV that he has resumed negotiations for the purchase of Dioki and DINA-Petrokemija
– We showed our first interest two years ago. We are in negotiations with creditors, banks, and the management of Dioki and we are trying to find a model for our entry into Dioki and DINA, but the debts are very large. Whether we will succeed in this, aligning all the wishes of the creditors and the management, will be known in about ten to fifteen days – said Čermak.
The government did not want to officially comment on anything yesterday, and Finance Minister Slavko Linić said that it would be difficult to ensure the survival of DINA-Petrokemija, announcing lawsuits against the Turkish Caliskan, whom he considers responsible for the failed agreement to save DINA from Omišalj on the island of Krk.
Let us remind you, Linić blamed the Turkish partner for the failure, who has not started production in that company since July. If they have not started production since the seventh month of last year, then I really do not understand what they would be doing here. I hold them personally responsible for the failure because the state reached an agreement with creditors, we opened a pre-bankruptcy procedure, and they received an offer to purchase land for the LNG terminal. From our side, everything has been done to save Dina-Petrokemija, he emphasized.
