The Ministry of Finance has already prepared a lawsuit, not only for the amount of the guarantee but also for unpaid salaries during the stay of people from Caliskan and the damage suffered by local government units – said Finance Minister Slavko Linić today in Varaždin.
As reported by Tportal, considering the contract that the Government concluded regarding the obligations of Caliskan, a dispute will be conducted before the Croatian judiciary.
– The Government has fulfilled its obligations, and thus the investor received an offer for the purchase of land for the LNG terminal – said Linić, adding that there was enough time to start production, but that did not happen.
At this moment, the Government has not been informed of any potential partner, so the fate of Dine Petrokemija, which has initiated a pre-bankruptcy settlement, is very uncertain.
– There are discussions with General Čermak’s company, but the Government has not been informed about this. Therefore, it is very, very difficult to expect the further survival of Dine Petrokemija – concluded the Finance Minister.
