Valamar Adria Holding generated over one billion kuna

The company Valamar Adria Holding achieved 1.05 billion kuna in consolidated revenues last year, which is an increase of 132 million kuna or 14.3 percent compared to the previous year, while the consolidated net profit amounts to 52.3 million kuna and the operating profit is 59.9 million kuna, Valamar reported.

Consolidated revenues and profits include the results of the subsidiary Riviera Adria d.d. (in which Valamar Adria Holding held 71.89 percent of the share capital as of December 31), which, together with the subsidiary Dubrovnik-Babin kuk, owns the largest tourism portfolio in Croatia consisting of 23 hotels, seven tourist resorts, and nine campsites in Poreč, Rabac, Krk, and Dubrovnik.

Sales revenues increased by 11 percent last year, reaching 980 million kuna, with revenues from tourism activities rising by 12 percent to 976 million kuna.

In Valamar’s tourist facilities, nearly 4.1 million overnight stays were recorded last year, which is 7.8 percent more than in 2011, with 9 percent more overnight stays in facilities in Poreč and Dubrovnik, 5 percent more in Rabac, and 2 percent more on Krk.

They also note that Valamar Adria Holding announced a takeover bid for the company Riviera Adria on January 9 of this year, in which it, together with entities it operates with, holds 77.53 percent of the share capital, and this offer is still ongoing.

For this year, Valamar Adria Holding announces investments of around 170 million kuna to enhance the quality of its tourist facilities, of which the company Riviera Adria is investing 120 million kuna, and Dubrovnik-Babin kuk 50 million kuna.

The largest investment, amounting to nearly 60 million kuna, relates to the renovation of the Valamar Sanfior hotel and the Lanterna apartments in Rabac, while the second largest investment is around 15 million kuna in the Krk campsite.
