The company Sandoz held a ceremonial scholarship award for six of the most promising students as part of the socially responsible campaign ‘Following My Dreams’. In addition to the scholarships, which amount to 1600 kuna per month, students are provided with other types of support to help them grow into young scientists.
After a demanding selection process in which hundreds of applications were received, Sandoz selected six students to sponsor throughout their studies. Three of them are students at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, while the others come from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.
The awarded students will be able to cover part of their student living expenses with this scholarship, and Sandoz will continue to support them in their professional development through the ‘Following My Dreams’ project. Some of the upcoming activities include sending scholarship recipients to educational gatherings and lectures, notably participation in the Regional BioCamp in Ljubljana, where selected students from the region will be educated by experts about development and research potential within the pharmaceutical industry. Additionally, a visit to Sandoz’s biological drug development center in Mengeš, Slovenia, is planned, which is an extremely important research center for the company’s global development.
