Nina Badrić at the trial for Fimi media

The trial in the Fimi media case is expected to continue with the testimony of former president of the HDZ youth Mislav Banek and singer Nina Badrić.

Their pre-election appearances, according to the prosecution, were paid from the HDZ’s party slush fund, which allegedly was filled with illegally obtained money from state institutions and companies.

Yesterday, former HDZ minister of science, education, and sports Dragan Primorac testified at the trial of former Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and his former party that while in office he had not heard of the marketing agency Fimi media through which, according to USKOK’s claims, the HDZ’s slush fund was filled. Primorac stated that all marketing work for the HDZ was done through the company Masol and that the party had enough money because, in addition to donations and membership fees, it received funds from the budget. One of the remaining prosecution witnesses, Vedran Miše, yesterday denied claims from his earlier testimony in USKOK, in which he stated that his former business partner had given money to the accused Ivo Sanader in Salzburg in the late 1980s.
