In response to a journalist’s question about why he does not come to work at the City Administration and the Parliament, Split Mayor Željko Kerum stated that sitting in Parliament is a waste of time for his party and politicians like him – because the government has not accepted any opposition legislative proposals so far.
During a conversation with Canadian Ambassador Louise LaRocque, Kerum stated that he assumes Croatia will have five to six million inhabitants in the next twenty years, half of whom will be foreigners, and that the outflow of creative people will continue.
Workers from Bulgaria and Romania will come, and they will find it easier to get jobs than our people because our people have not learned to do hard jobs and do not like being commanded, Kerum told the Canadian ambassador.
