At today’s meeting, the Government of Croatia approved a loan of 53 million euros for financing an additional investment cycle in road construction on public roads.
The loan will be issued for eight years, with a variable interest rate of 6-month Euribor plus 4.05 percent annually.
During the adoption of the final Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on the State Judicial Council, Minister of Justice Orsat Miljenić proposed that the data on judges’ assets should not be publicly disclosed, but that the SJC must allow access to the asset declaration upon special request within eight days, without the obligation to provide judges’ addresses and contacts. Milanović requested arguments as to why judges should be exempt from the public disclosure of data that otherwise includes all state officials, but Miljenić stated that there is no argument other than the safety of judges. The proposal was nevertheless adopted.
The agenda also included a proposal for the approval of funds to the Association Hrabro dijete from Nova Gradiška, for the reimbursement of paid VAT for the humanitarian action of collecting aid for the treatment of Nora Šitum abroad. Linić emphasized that no one can be exempt from the VAT system, but that after the final calculation, the Government will return the VAT through a donation.
