The government will soon submit a law on hydrocarbons, under which the state will be able to establish a new oil company, HRT.
The new state-owned enterprise would be a key body for technical and professional oversight of the concessionaires for oil and gas exploitation.
By establishing the new company, Croatia would regain part of its powers in managing these resources that it lost through the privatization of INA. The law is expected to be presented in the Parliament in March.
