The Končar Group is presenting a comprehensive solution for wind turbines at the most significant wind energy fair and conference in Europe, EWEA 2013, which is taking place from February 4 to 7 in Vienna, focusing on the Wind Farm Pometeno Brdo, as reported by Končar.
Končar’s wind farm at Pometeno Brdo near Split consists of 15 wind turbines with a capacity of 1 megawatt (MW) and one turbine with a capacity of 2.5 MW.
Fourteen companies from the Končar Group and 15 cooperating companies from Croatia participated in the construction, with the share of domestic components in production exceeding 80 percent.
The solutions presented at the fair “EWEA 2013” are the result of the development and knowledge of the experts from the Končar Group and represent a product that opens significant export opportunities while enhancing Croatia’s competitiveness and creating new jobs, Končar notes.
In addition to the exhibition part, EWEA also includes a conference segment, during which tomorrow, February 5, Končar’s experts will present the work ‘Managing Wind Turbines in Very Strong Winds’.
This will also be an opportunity to meet numerous industry experts and exchange new knowledge, strengthen business relationships, and establish new contacts, the statement notes.
The EWEA 2013 wind energy fair and conference in Vienna is organized by the European association EWEA (European Wind Energy Association), and this year it has gathered more than 10,000 participants and 500 exhibitors from 84 countries. The theme of this year’s EWEA is creating real opportunities for the development of wind energy, with a focus on new, still unsaturated markets.
