Croatian President Ivo Josipović received on Monday a delegation from the Employers’ Association MEDEF International, consisting of French businesspeople led by Charles Paradis, and invited French investors to invest in Croatia, emphasizing that Croatia is particularly interested in investments in export production and the creation of new jobs, the president’s office announced.
Paradis is the president of the Franco-Croatian Business Council and one of the directors of Bouygues Construction, a company that is part of the consortium for Zagreb Airport.
Josipović stated that in order to expedite the realization of investments, the Croatian government is working towards creating a better investment climate, particularly by removing bureaucratic obstacles and reducing the tax burden.
In addition to representatives of French companies already operating in Croatia, the delegation also included representatives of companies that do not yet operate in Croatia, and this is an opportunity for them to familiarize themselves with the Croatian market and the possibilities for business and partnership in the Republic of Croatia, the statement adds.
