Former Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Božidar Kalmeta was questioned on Thursday at the PNUSKOK premises in Zagreb.
The information was confirmed by Kalmeta himself, who stated that it was a regular, very brief informational conversation about the gasification project in Zadar and the role of the Zadar County Prefect Stipe Zrilić
This was not Kalmeta’s first conversation with PNUSKOK officials. At the end of last year, media reported that Kalmeta and his party colleague Ivan Šuker were seen on the terrace of the Lisinski café in Zagreb in the company of the now-arrested PNUSKOK police officer Selma Abadžić and her colleague Dušan Pavlica.
The mentioned police officer, who worked on practically all cases related to corruption and abuses in HAC, was later arrested along with several of her colleagues on suspicion of leaking confidential information about investigations. Kalmeta then stated that they had given statements to the police about the sale of the Kolocep hotel because both had previously been on the Management Board of the Croatian Privatization Fund.
