The highest probability of bankruptcy threatens Greece, while Croatia ranks 18th on the global list, according to the latest report published this week by the consulting firm CMA Vision.
In the credit risk report, based on data from the fourth quarter of 2012, CMA Vision included Greece, Argentina, Cyprus, Pakistan, Venezuela, Ukraine, Portugal, Egypt, Iraq, and Lebanon among the 10 countries with the highest probability of bankruptcy.
Among the 10 countries with the lowest probability of bankruptcy are the Scandinavian countries Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark, followed by the USA, Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the Netherlands.
Croatia ranks 18th on this global list. Higher probabilities of bankruptcy among European countries are recorded for Spain (11th place), Italy (12th), Hungary (15th), and Ireland (16th).
CMA Vision quantified the probability that countries will be unable to meet their obligations within a certain time frame using the standard industry model and relevant credit data from CMA Datavision, as stated, among other things, in this report.
