Following today’s meeting with representatives of the unions and the Workers’ Council of Podravka, the management of Podravka has decided to increase the amount of the incentive severance pay for all interested employees who wish to leave the company in this manner, as part of the business restructuring program, from the initial 3,000.00 kuna for each year of service to 4,500.00 kuna.
– “After receiving feedback from our employees interested in leaving the company with incentive severance pay, and understanding their needs and the current situation, as well as today’s very constructive meeting with union representatives at Podravka, we have decided to increase the amount of incentive severance pay by 50 percent. Our intention is to ensure satisfactory severance pay for our employees with this act, while taking into account the possible impact on our company’s business results,” stated Zvonimir Mršić, President of the Management Board of Podravka.
– “In the PPDIV union of Podravka, we welcome this decision by the management of Podravka as it demonstrates social responsibility towards employees, of course within the financial framework that is currently possible. We are aware that Podravka is at a turning point where restructuring is necessary, and we are pleased that the management has found a way to further incentivize the employees covered by this program,” said Ksenija Horvat, the chief union representative of PPDIV, the largest union represented at Podravka, after the meeting with the management of Podravka.
As already mentioned, the decision to address the surplus of employees with incentive severance pay is a continuation of the restructuring process in the company aimed at optimizing costs and increasing operational efficiency, as well as ensuring job sustainability and the long-term competitiveness of Podravka in domestic and foreign markets, the company stated.
