The Agrokor Group has invested 560 million kuna in Vupik over the past three years since it took over.
This was stated during today’s celebration of St. Vincent’s Day, the patron saint of vine growers and vineyards, held at the Goldschmidt vineyard estate in the vineyards of Vukovar’s Vupik. According to Vupik’s director Davor Bošnjaković, although last year was exceptionally difficult, Vupik managed to achieve a 40 percent increase in business revenues and significant investments in pig farming and livestock, crop and vineyard production, and milk production. He also reminded that last autumn, Agrokor launched a transshipment port for grains and oilseeds on the Danube, in which 80 million kuna was invested.
– Investments in Vupik have also gone towards viticulture and winemaking, thus modernizing the Vukovar winery with a total capacity of 5.5 million liters of wine, and we consider it a great success that we managed to produce 4.5 million liters of wine last year – said Bošnjaković, adding that in the past three years, Vupik has planted about 20 hectares of new vineyards, and this year it intends to do so on 14 hectares of agricultural land.
