A review of nearly 17,000 organizations in 52 countries has determined that the labor market for professionals and managers worldwide is relatively stable.
The analysis is part of the ‘Global snapshot’ project conducted by Antal International, a recruitment agency specializing in managerial positions. Globally, the employment level in this segment is slightly lower compared to the previous review, with 47 percent of surveyed companies employing professionals or managers, while in the previous period it was 51 percent. At the same time, the percentage of companies laying off such staff has decreased from 18 percent to 16 percent.
Unfortunately, Croatia has the lowest employment level in the broader region of Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, at 47 percent, compared to, for example, the Czech Republic (55 percent), Poland (52 percent), or Romania (53 percent). The highest rates were recorded in Turkey (66 percent), Israel (65 percent), and Russia (63 percent).
In Western Europe, the highest employment level is in Denmark (64 percent) and Finland (62 percent), while the lowest is in Spain, where only 31 percent of companies reported currently employing at the professional and managerial level.
