At the opening of the II generation of the Postgraduate Specialist Study in Energy Development Economics, which took place on Friday at the Hrvoje Požar Energy Institute, a presentation titled ‘Possible Development of the Energy Sector in Croatia Under Conditions of Radical Reduction of CO2 Emissions’ was presented.
Goran Granić, director of the Hrvoje Požar Energy Institute, outlined recommendations for the successful development of the energy sector by 2050 in the context of reducing CO2 emissions.
– Croatia must urgently develop strategic documents for energy, technological, scientific, and industrial development by 2050 with implementation plans – said Granić at the opening. The reduction of CO2 consumption entails an enormous task and has a high cost, but it is certainly possible with the existence of the right plans and their implementation, Granić asserted.
