Some say it is good that the state is selling its small shares in privatized companies, while others say it is bad.
This is also the case regarding the application for the tender of the Agency for Management of State Property (AUDIO), which has announced the sale of small state shares in 11 companies (DI Zelina, Heruc, Ilirik trend, Maraska, Meteor, Pastor engineering, Prehrana, Ribnjčarstvo Poljana, Sladis, Tiskara Zelina, and Čakovec’s Zrinski) – some of the majority owners are interested in purchasing them, while others are not.
For example, the owners of the Wood Industry Zelina do not want to pay 9,990 kuna for 27 shares but will offer less. The same is true for the Čakovec printing company Zrinski, for which AUDIO is asking 268,000 kuna for 671 shares, and it is ready to offer 90 kuna per share, or 60,390 kuna in total. One of the largest shareholders, who is also the director of the printing house, Vladimir Halić, announced that he would apply for the tender, but not personally, rather the company Zrinski d.d.
The largest shareholder of Tiskara Zelina, whose shares are among the 11 companies offered in the tender, Dragutin Lunjek, says it is good that the state offers its small shares in such tenders, to which he will apply because he believes it will resolve the issue of that small portion of shares. At the same time, the largest shareholder of Ribnjčarstvo Poljana, Milan Božić, believes this is a bad move by the state. For his share of 123 shares, AUDIO is asking for 46,740 kuna through the tender, to which he will apply, but he does not intend to offer that much.
– I would donate my ownership if a fair investor came along, and the state should manage its assets in companies that can bring it profit better – claims Božić, adding that as a private individual, he recently sent several trucks of fish to Italy during the heaviest snow.
Ante Raspudić, almost a hundred percent owner of Meteor d.d., a company that produces cleaning agents, believes that the state should get rid of such small shares that do not amount to even one percent because this will bring it closer to absolute ownership, and then it can, if it wishes, sell the company to someone else.
– We need to sit down and clarify all ownership – says Raspudić.
One of the most valuable offered shares is in Prehrana from Stobreč; in a conversation with the owner’s brother, Anđelko Prgomet, we were told to contact the company’s management, where Nediljko Lizatović briefly stated that they are not interested in those shares. There are also 12 shares of Heruc on the list, but its majority owner, Drago Biondić, did not want to answer whether he would apply for AUDIO’s tender or not.
