The retreat of the highest bodies of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), where the political leadership of the party will discuss the preparation and implementation of the upcoming local elections, began this morning in Opatija.
Members of the highest bodies of the party – the Presidency of HDZ, the Central Committee, the Supervisory Board, the Youth of HDZ, the Women’s Community of HDZ Katarina Zrinski, members of the Founders’ Club dr. Franjo Tuđman, as well as parliamentary representatives, chairpersons of HDZ committees, and members of electoral headquarters attended the two-day closed-door meeting.
The political leadership of the party will discuss the preparation and implementation of the upcoming local elections at the retreat, define the electoral strategy, devise the electoral slogan, and establish guidelines for political marketing.
HDZ announced that the president of HDZ, Tomislav Karamarko, will give a statement to the press after the start of the meeting during the morning.
