Was Čehok also detained along with the director of Tehnobeton?

Alongside the director of Zagorje Tehnobeton, Miroslav Bunić, former mayor Ivan Čehok, his deputy Zlatko Horvat, and one of the department heads from that administration, Stanko Vitez, were reportedly detained today in Varaždin, according to HRT.

Recall that USKOK investigators visited the CEO of Zagorje Tehnobeton, Miroslav Bunić, around 8 AM and took potential evidence from his home. There has been no statement from the police regarding the nature of the indictment, but it has been confirmed that USKOK is conducting actions in Varaždin.

It is speculated that this may relate to a lawsuit from minority shareholders who accused the director back in 2010 of non-transparent recapitalization of the company. The media also mentions a scandal involving veterans’ apartments, which recently led to the detention of Deputy Minister of Veterans’ Affairs Dinko Mikulić.
Half an hour ago, Tehnobeton issued a statement indicating that the investigation is related to two business events, one from 2003 and one from 2008, and that Bunić is just one of three board members, asserting that the operations of Zagorje Tehnobeton are not in question. The investigation is being conducted in great secrecy, with information leaking slowly.
