The government is expected to approve the purchase of a building in Brussels that will house the permanent representation of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union. The building will cost us 11.5 million euros.
One of the items on today’s government session agenda is the Final proposal of the excise duty law. Also on the agenda is the New proposal of the agricultural land law and amendments to the Road Act.
The government will present the Project for the unification of fiber optic infrastructure in majority state-owned companies. Through this project, the government is initiating the establishment of a new telecom that is expected to provide broadband, fast, cheap internet throughout Croatia. The new company would take over the management of the free optical network of state-owned companies such as HAC, Croatian Railways, HEP, Plinacro, Janaf, and the Rijeka-Zagreb Motorway. The company itself would not be an operator but would offer network leasing to everyone under equal conditions.
In the closed part of the session, the government will again discuss some personnel issues, including the proposal for the appointment of members of the government’s permanent working bodies.
