Croatia is this year’s winner of the ‘Finnish Travel Award 2013’ for the most interesting foreign destination as chosen by the public, awarded annually by the management of the largest and most influential travel fair in Finland, ‘Matka Travel Fair’, it was reported today by the Croatian National Tourist Board.
– Croatia has thus already received excellent promotion of its tourism offerings at the very opening of the fair, which is held in Helsinki from January 17 to 20, as well as additional confirmation of its growing popularity among the residents of Finland and neighboring countries – emphasizes HTZ.
The award was presented to the director of the HTZ office for Scandinavia, Paul Šikić, by the fair director Christer Haglund, who congratulated Croatia on its successful promotional activities in the Scandinavian market.
At the fair, the HTZ office in Scandinavia promoted Croatia’s tourism offerings at business workshops called ‘Global Workshop’, where the natural and cultural beauties of Croatian destinations were presented to interested representatives of Finnish travel agencies.
