By noon only one millionaire

The Zagreb Stock Exchange continued to see an increase in stock prices for the second consecutive day, with the Crobex indices reaching new highs not seen in the last 15 months, and the focus of investors is once again on the shares of Petrokemija.

The Crobex index was up 0.5 percent around noon, at 1,886 points, which is its highest level since September 21, 2011, when it stood at 1,927 points.

The Crobex10 rose by 0.7 percent to 1,059 points, also the highest level in the last 15 months. The regular turnover amounted to around 8.2 million kuna, which is almost 4 million kuna less than yesterday at this time, but still significantly higher than the average in recent months.

“The turnover is very high today as well, but so far only Petrokemija has made it to the list of stocks with million kuna turnover. The Crobex indices are still on an upward trajectory, with most of the stocks traded today in the positive,” says Nigela Bubalo, broker and member of the Management Board of the investment company Credos.

The highest turnover, 1.9 million kuna, was achieved by Petrokemija shares by noon. However, after yesterday’s jump of more than 8 percent, today the price of shares of that Kutina company fell by more than 2 percent to 254 kuna. Following with a turnover of around 960 thousand kuna is the shares of Ingra, whose price jumped by more than 15 percent to 4.80 kuna.

The preferred shares of the Adris Group continue to strengthen, with their price rising by a further 3.2 percent today to 284.80 kuna, with a turnover of around 660 thousand kuna.

With a turnover of 460 thousand kuna, the shares of HT follow, with their price increasing by 0.12 percent to 211.50 kuna.

And while stock prices are rising on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, cautious trading prevails in European markets. Around noon, the London FTSE and Paris CAC indices were up by 0.1 percent, while the Frankfurt DAX weakened by the same amount.
