INA’s Sisak Oil Refinery is gradually suspending operations of several processing units today, as reported by INA, and it is learned from the company that this is a previously planned temporary suspension that will also be used for some necessary work.
According to the statement, the Sisak Oil Refinery will today, January 14, proceed with the suspension of sections – atmospheric distillation, vacuum distillation, FCC and HDS FCC gasoline, reforming and PSA, HDS gas oils, splitter reformate and NHT, as well as amin/claus. During these activities, no impact on the environment is expected, INA emphasizes.
INA’s statement has again sparked speculation among some in Sisak that the Hungarian MOL has no interest in investing in the modernization of the Sisak refinery and that it could suspend production there, which INA denies, emphasizing that this is nothing unusual.
The Director of the Sisak Oil Refinery, Damir Butković, emphasizes that this is a previously planned temporary suspension of operations of certain sections.
The interruption of operations of some sections, which we planned, will be used for some necessary work. Thus, we will carry out catalyst regeneration on the platforming selection, and several other maintenance interventions on certain facilities are also planned, says Butković. According to him, the resumption of selections can be expected in about a month.
