Štern wants to build a floating congress hall

Davor Štern, former president of the Supervisory Board of INA, has ventured from the oil business into tourism. He plans to build a floating congress hall in the Adriatic with 2,000 seats worth 20 million euros.

-The costs are even lower than the costs of building a hall on land because there are no land prices and utility infrastructure costs. We have also applied for a tender from the Ministry of Tourism for some funds, then we would seek domestic investors, and we will also apply for European structural funds. However, a feasibility study needs to be conducted.

The project is therefore being detailed, but it is not unrealistic to expect its implementation in the next tourist season, says Štern, adding that the project has generated great interest because it is unique and can serve not only for holding congresses but also for concerts and as a floating disco.
