Atlantic Grupa reaches one million kuna in two hours

On the Zagreb Stock Exchange, Crobex indices rose today for the fourth consecutive day, reaching their highest levels in 15 months, with blue chip stocks in focus for investors, whose prices continue to rise significantly.

The Crobex index was up 0.84 percent around noon, at 1,861 points, which is its highest level since September 28, 2011, when it was at 1,871 points. The Crobex10 rose by 0.57 percent to 1,038 points, also the highest level in the last 15 months. Regular trading amounted to around 5.7 million kuna, which is approximately one million kuna more than yesterday at the same time.

– The rise in stock prices continues for the fourth consecutive day, and given the trading volume achieved by noon, it is likely that the end of the day will be similar to previous days. The fact that the vast majority of stocks are in the plus indicates good market sentiment – says Ana Vitaić Gladović, an analyst in the Economic Research Department of Hypo Alpe Adria Bank.

A million kuna in trading volume by noon was achieved only by the stock of Atlantic Grupa. Today, this stock increased by a further 4.5 percent, bringing its gain since the beginning of the year to over 20 percent. The preferred stock of Adris Grupa rose by about 2 percent to 276 kuna, with a trading volume of around 820 thousand kuna.

The stock of HT achieved a trading volume of approximately 500 thousand kuna, and its price rose by 0.1 percent to 211 kuna. Prices of most other stocks also increased today. By noon, trading was conducted with more than 40 issues, of which only about 10 recorded a price drop.

Meanwhile, trading on European exchanges today is cautious. Around noon, the London FTSE and Frankfurt DAX indices were up by 0.1 percent, while the Paris CAC was down by 0.2 percent. American futures indices, on the other hand, indicate cautious trading on Wall Street on the last day of this week, after stock indices rose for two consecutive days.
