Roko Vodopija new CEO of Diona

The new CEO of Diona is Roko Vodopija, who took over the position from Slavica Maros Stipančić on January 1, who had held the position since the summer of 2006.

As stated by the retail chain, the process of finding a candidate was thoughtful and lengthy. Vodopija has extensive international management experience in various business segments in leading regional companies in Central and Southeast Europe, and as CEO, he will develop a business strategy and lead Diona through the transformation process, according to the company’s statement.

Vodopija began his career at Pliva as a representative office director, after which he worked at Dukat and TDR, where he took on the position of marketing and sales director after managing regional markets. He then moved into consulting, and spent the last four years in Macedonia, where he restructured the leading dairy industry. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb and completed an MBA program at the IEDC business school in Bled.

– The best customer service is provided at Diona’s sales points and is the result of the dedication and professional approach of the employees. I am pleased to lead a team that can be the best and I will strive to transfer that mentality to other areas of the business. Diona has great growth potential and I look forward to the challenge of its transformation. The vision and commitment of the owners and the Supervisory Board make the transformation feasible, and its success realistic – said Vodopija.
