On the Zagreb Stock Exchange, the Crobex indices slightly weakened today after six consecutive days of growth, with investors focusing on the shares of Adris Group, which saw a significant price increase alongside very high trading volume.
The Crobex index was down 0.33 percent around noon, at 1,804 points, while Crobex10 was down 0.17 percent, at 1,008 points. The regular trading volume amounted to 8.1 million kuna, which is approximately 1.5 million more than at this time last Friday.
“The domestic market started this morning against the trend on global exchanges, where stock prices are down, while in Zagreb they were up, although there are no news items we could say have stimulated the market,” says Ana Matić, a financial analyst at Zagrebačka Bank.
The highest trading volume, 2.2 million kuna, was achieved by the regular shares of Adris Group by noon, with their price jumping 7.8 percent to 310 kuna. The preferred shares of Adris Group had a trading volume of 1.2 million kuna, with their price up 4.3 percent to 264.99 kuna.
The stock of AD Plastika also made it to the millionaires’ list, with a trading volume of 1.2 million kuna and a price increase of 4.1 percent to 115 kuna. Meanwhile, the euphoria on global exchanges, triggered last week by the avoidance of the ‘fiscal cliff’ in the U.S., has subsided. Consequently, stock prices on European markets have slightly fallen today. The London FTSE, Frankfurt DAX, and Paris CAC were down between 0.2 and 0.5 percent around noon.
