At the first meeting of this year, the Government, as announced, established the Investment Coordination, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development Branko Grčić.
Grčić emphasized at the Government meeting that the newly established coordination has three strategic goals: the realization of key projects of public enterprises and those financed from the budget, to include funds from EU funds in the same projects, and to eliminate all administrative barriers in the realization of private investments.
As a key problem, Grčić pointed out the issue of investments that have fallen by 30 percent in the last four years, particularly pronounced in private investments,
– We have decided that the Government will create platforms through increased activity to monitor the development of these strategic goals on a weekly basis – said Grčić, adding that private entrepreneurs will also be engaged in the realization of this significant task.
The meeting will also consider amendments to the Law on Civil Servants, as well as final proposals for amendments to the Law on the Obligations and Rights of State Officials, the Law on the Rights and Duties of Representatives in the Croatian Parliament, and the Law on the Special Rights of the President of the Republic of Croatia upon termination of office.
Among other items on the agenda is a proposal for a decision on the publication of rules on state aid to the shipbuilding sector.
