The government decided today to transfer claims to the cities of Split and Osijek regarding the Basketball Club Split and the Football Club Osijek.
KK Split owes slightly more than 23 million kuna for taxes and other public dues as well as interest, which will be transferred to the City of Split in the process of mandatory transformation into a sports joint-stock company.
If the City of Split decides to sell its shares in the club, it is obliged to pay 30 percent of the revenue into the state budget. NK Osijek owes the state nearly 8 million kuna, which will also be transferred to the City under the same conditions.
The government approved the allocation of a total of 10.8 million kuna for financing various projects, including 2.86 million kuna for the costs of arbitration proceedings with Slovenia, 2 million kuna for the ‘Storm 95’ monument in Knin, and 2.3 million kuna for the implementation of the Clean Start project.
Finance Minister Slavko Linić reported that by the beginning of November, 129.2 million of the total 168.5 million kuna from the budget reserve had been spent.
