Queen Elizabeth delivered her traditional Christmas speech for the first time in 3D technology, in which she paid tribute to the athletes of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and thanked the British people for the celebrations of her jubilee.
Every December 25th since she ascended to the throne, except for 1969, the queen addresses the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. However, this year, as she celebrated her Diamond Jubilee (60 years of reign), Buckingham wanted to do something special, and this speech was released in 3D technology.
Those who do not have the appropriate television receiver could see the queen in standard format. She thanked them for the demonstrated unity and friendship during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
