Ahead of the Christmas holidays, trading on the Zagreb Stock Exchange is very calm today, and since there are no significant business news or events, the market lacks a clear direction.
The Crobex index was down 0.36 percent around noon, at 1,722 points, while Crobex10 was down 0.37 percent, at 969 points.
Regular turnover amounted to 1.74 million kuna, which is about 8 million less than on Friday at this time.
– In today’s shortened trading session, the domestic market turnover is very weak. The most traded stock is that of Kaštelanski Staklenici. There is no news, so the market is without a clear direction, and most investors are already in a holiday mood, says Tomislav Kesić, broker at Zagrebačka Bank.
By noon, the stock of Kaštelanski Staklenici achieved a turnover of 227,000 kuna. Its price strengthened by almost 1 percent, to 697 kuna.
Following is the stock of HT, with a turnover of 184,000 kuna. Its price weakened by 0.35 percent, to 197.72 kuna. Turnovers above 100,000 kuna were also achieved by the stocks of Belje and Dioki. Meanwhile, the stock of Belje increased by 2.16 percent, to 68.2 kuna, while Dioki rose by 9.5 percent, to 12.1 kuna. The Zagreb Stock Exchange operates today until 1 PM, and the next trading day is Thursday.
