The VIP Snow Queen Trophy will be held for the ninth time on January 4 and 6 at Sljeme.
The best world skiers will once again compete at the beginning of next year, and after a two-year absence, the legends race returns to the program. The organizers have a similar budget as last year, approximately 23.5 million kuna, of which the city of Zagreb contributes 4.5 million. The Sljeme slope is ready, and this year over 500 journalists will cover the race, with the broadcast reaching 25 countries. Last year’s men’s race was the second most-watched in the entire World Cup, with an estimated 300 million people watching the broadcast from Zagreb. The female skiers will compete on January 4, with the first run starting at 3:45 PM and the second at 6:30 PM. The male skiers will hit the slope two days later at 10:45 AM and 2:00 PM. The legends race is scheduled for the same day, starting at 5:30 PM.
– The slope is mostly ready, and we just need to finalize all the details. The most important news is that Ivica has no new problems with his knee, and for the fans, the comfort they had in previous years remains. Food and drinks have been organized for them, and they will also receive a fan flag – said the director of the Organizing Committee, Vedran Pavlek.
The ticket prices remain the same, with a package priced at 120 kuna, and individual tickets are also available for purchase. For amateur skiers, the information is that Sljeme will be open for skiing from Saturday, December 22, to Saturday, December 29, unless weather conditions worsen. Of course, the slope will reopen after the race.
