The report from the State Audit Office was submitted to the Parliament a week ago. Given past experiences, it may wait for discussion for more than half a year.
HRT reported yesterday that the audit in 2011 revealed that in the midst of the economic crisis, the former management squandered money and spent like drunken billionaires.
In Croatian Forests, they cannot say that there was no saving. Despite the crisis, more than 100 workers were employed last year, and they spent 64 million kuna more on salaries than in 2010. Everyone from the management drove unlimited in official cars, and bonuses were paid to all employees.
Ivan Pavelić, the CEO of Croatian Forests, emphasized that this year 280 people retired and that they did not purchase new cars, and that these figures are a result of decisions made by the former management.
Croatian Roads in 2011 directly contracted the procurement of electricity and gas worth a total of 7.5 million kuna based on contracts from previous years. Public procurement is also troubling Jadrolinija. They did not announce a tender for a ship worth 77 million kuna.
In Croatia Airlines, they did not even conduct the public procurement process because since 2005 they are no longer subject to the Public Procurement Act. They agreed on contracts worth around 13 million kuna through direct agreements.
