Dalmatinac the Best Cheese in Central and Eastern Europe

Dalmatinac cheese, one of the latest products from Paška sirana d.d. from the island of Pag, has been declared the best cheese in Central and Eastern Europe at the World Cheese Awards 2012 held in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

More than 200 types of cheese from around the world were evaluated in the selection, and besides Dalmatinac, the cheese Paprenjak was awarded a bronze medal in the category of new cheeses on the market. It is a young cheese characterized by a milky white color and is ideal for those who prefer younger, softer cheeses.
– This is recognition for our many years of work in cheese production. Paška sirana was the first to give the Pag cheese a label and send it to competitions, winning medals. The medals at the World Cheese Awards and the declaration of Dalmatinac as the best cheese in this part of Europe is the crown of our long-term work and proof that not only Pag cheese but also other cheeses from our assortment are of exceptional quality and compete with world cheeses,” says Martina Pernar from Marketing at Paška sirana d.d.
