Longtime member of the Split SDP, Vinko Bajrović Capo, was excluded at yesterday’s meeting of the City Committee of the party due to a violation of the party’s statute, unofficially learned from a high source in the SDP.
The reason why Vinko Bajrović Capo was almost unanimously excluded with one vote against and one abstention is that he violated the party statute by recently publicly supporting the Deputy Mayor of Split, Anđelka Visković, a former member of HGS Željko Kerum, who intends to run for Mayor of Split in the upcoming local elections.
On that occasion, Bajrović stated in the media that Visković would be a better candidate than SDP’s Ivo Baldasar, whom he criticized for being in Italy during the Homeland War.
At yesterday’s meeting of the SDP City Committee, there were no other, milder proposals such as issuing a warning, but the majority was in favor of exclusion from the party, as SDP members considered it a serious violation of their party statute, it was learned from a source in the SDP.
