Croatian President Ivo Josipović stated today that the decision by Standard & Poor’s to downgrade Croatia’s credit rating is a significant and important warning to all of Croatia, including the Government, that reforms must be implemented.
Standard & Poor’s downgraded Croatia’s credit rating to ‘BB+/B’ yesterday, with a stable outlook, citing insufficient reforms as the reason for the downgrade.
– Structural reforms are lacking, and the policy must turn more in that direction, which will lead our economy to greater production, exports, and employment – said Josipović in a statement to reporters after meeting with citizens at the Office of the President of the Republic.
