Thousands of people eagerly waited in Zapruđe for the new Plodine hypermarket to open its doors at the symbolic time of 12.12.2012 at 12 o’clock.
After thanking Mile Ćurković, the CEO of Plodine, for the arrival of visitors who waited with carts for their first shopping in winter, his deputy Đozi Heberling emphasized that this is the fourth Plodine hypermarket in Zagreb, out of a total of 71 opened throughout Croatia.
– This crisis year, we have invested a total of 30 million euros in four facilities and employed 400 workers. Effort and perseverance have clearly paid off. For us, there is no crisis, Heberling emphasized, after which she handed over a check of a symbolic 20 thousand kuna to the director of the Home for Unaccompanied Children in Nazorova Street.
In the new hypermarket, which covers 9,200 square meters and has a parking lot with 320 parking spaces, 15 million euros have been invested, and it will employ 200 workers. In addition to food, technology, and home furnishing products, the hypermarket includes the fast food chain KFC, the restaurant Bon Apetit, and there are business spaces for rent on 600 square meters.
