The Serbian criminal police arrested the owner of ‘Delta Holding’ and one of the richest Serbs, Miroslav Mišković, his son Marko, and several others in connection with the privatization of road companies, Serbian media report.
Miroslav and Marko Mišković were interrogated by the police and the Ministry of Justice in recent days as citizens, and on Saturday, the police prevented Marko Mišković from leaving the country on a private jet to London, confiscating his passport. Miroslav Mišković was last interrogated by the police on Monday.
In addition to the Miškovićs, as reported by RTS, those arrested include Milo Đurašković, the owner of ‘Nibens Group’, ‘Šer Corporation’, and the Road Company Niš, former directors of PZP Milutin Gašević and Zoran Mihailović, director of ‘Šer Corporation’ Risto Ristić, chairman of the shareholders’ assembly of PZP Niš Dejan Jevtić, and several others connected to million-dollar abuses.
‘Nibens Group’ was formed through the privatization of several companies, and Serbian media have speculated for years that Miroslav Mišković is behind it all. His son Marko, owner of the company ‘Mera Investment Fund’, reportedly spoke to the police and the state attorney’s office about transactions and money flows between Delta Holding and Nibens Group.
