Considering the numerous opportunities provided by the pre-accession programs of the European Union through which renewable energy and energy efficiency projects can be financed, as well as related laws and guidelines of EU policy, the Mirakul Educational Center will hold a seminar ‘Which EU funds to finance renewable energy and energy efficiency projects’.
Participants will gain a range of knowledge about the EU legislative frameworks in the field of renewable energy and the financing opportunities for such projects, as well as the terminology of SMEs from the EU perspective, conditions, and methods of applying for specific financial programs. The pre-accession financial instruments of the European Union intended for Croatia will also be linked to the structural funds. The seminar is intended for all potential applicants and users of EU funds related to the financing of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
Within FP7, the Specific Program Cooperation will be addressed (Research in the field of solar construction and architecture, preparation of solar fuels and thermal energy, improvement of existing solar cells and related products, development of photovoltaic systems and modules, development and testing of solar dishes, development of medium-temperature solar collectors (100 to 250°C)) and Research in the interest of small and medium-sized enterprises (projects in which scientific research organizations, and sometimes research and development companies conduct specific research in the field of renewable energy for the needs of companies that will later use the results for the development or improvement of products, processes, or services) and other programs. The last round of calls within the Competitiveness and Innovation Program (CIP) is also interesting, namely Eco-innovation (first market replication and commercialization of innovative products in the field of environmental protection, emission reduction, and use of renewable energy) and Intelligent Energy in Europe (SAVE – promoting energy efficiency and rational use of energy sources, ALTENER – promoting new renewable energy sources and supporting energy diversification).
