The government proposes the introduction of a new and simpler income declaration form that would enable the collection of consolidated data for the needs of multiple institutions in one place.
The new form will also show certain income that is not subject to taxation, all for the purpose of collecting data on the total income earned by each taxpayer in the tax period, reports Dnevnik.hr. Income tax would not be paid on allowances that are disbursed as non-repayable funds from EU funds and programs through bodies accredited for implementing mobility activities for education and professional development.
The government emphasizes that the proposed legal changes will not impact tax revenues but will indirectly affect the increase in tax collection.
