Tehnika, Hidroelektra and Ingra in Significant Profit

Primarily influenced by the decline of the most important European stock indices, today the Crobex indices are in the red on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, with the only stock achieving a million kuna turnover being HT.

Around noon, the Crobex was down 0.37 percent, at 1,751 points, while Crobex10 was down 0.57 percent, at 987 points. The regular turnover amounted to almost 3 million kuna, which is about a million more than on Friday at this time.

– The domestic market lacks clear direction. The indices are slightly down, primarily influenced by the weakening of European stock indices, with HT stock being the most traded – says Ana Matić, financial analyst at Zagrebačka banka.

HT stock has achieved a turnover of 1.52 million kuna so far. Its price fell by 1.81 percent, to 199.5 kuna, and due to its large share in the Crobex indices, it is primarily responsible for their weakening. Following is the stock of Dalekovod, with a turnover of 383,000 kuna. Its price jumped by 2.82 percent, to 67.53 kuna.

Other construction stocks also recorded significant price increases today, with the stocks of Tehnika and Hidroelektra in civil engineering strengthening by more than 6 percent, and Ingra by more than 5 percent, while IGH stock increased by 0.7 percent.

A turnover above 100,000 kuna was also achieved by the stock of Atlantska plovidba by noon, with its price rising by 1.23 percent, to 225 kuna. On European stock exchanges, the most important indices weakened this morning after Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti announced his resignation last weekend. The London FTSE index is currently down 0.36 percent, while the Frankfurt DAX and Paris CAC are down more than 0.74 percent.

– New directions for investors will come this week from macroeconomic indicators. Tomorrow we expect the release of the ZEW index of economic expectations in Germany for December, on Wednesday data on industrial production in the EU, while by the end of the week the PMI index for the manufacturing and services sector in Germany and the Eurozone should be published. The movement of foreign markets will also be influenced by new news regarding negotiations on the US budget deficit – concludes Matić.
