The signing of a €40 million loan agreement between Erste&Steiermärkische Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) took place at the Erste Business Center in Zagreb.
The agreement was signed by the CEO of Erste Bank, Petar Radaković, and board member Boris Centner, as well as Zsuzsanna Hargitai, the director for Croatia and Hungary on behalf of EBRD. Of the mentioned amount, €30 million is intended for financing private companies, while €10 million will be used for financing through factoring. -We have long recognized the potential in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and provide them support through financing, said Centner. The funds will be directed towards micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises through investment loans with longer repayment terms, working capital loans, and factoring products to improve competitiveness ahead of Croatia’s entry into the European Union. -Interest rates will depend on the client’s creditworthiness, said Centner.
