During a very quiet trading session in the morning at the Zagreb Stock Exchange, Crobex indices slightly declined, and due to the lack of any business news, trading volume is very low.
Around noon, Crobex was down 0.49 percent, at 1,752 points, while Crobex10 was down 0.43 percent, at 990 points. Regular trading amounted to only 2.16 million kuna, which is about a million less than yesterday at this time.
– Nothing is happening on the stock exchange. The trading volume is weak, and the indices are barely moving. Not just today, but throughout this week, Crobex indices have stagnated. It is possible that trading may pick up in the afternoon if there are significant reactions on foreign exchanges to the employment data in the U.S. for November, says Lav Bernfest, an analyst in the Economic Research Department of Hypo Alpe Adria Bank.
Currently, the most liquid stock is HT, with a trading volume of only 473,000 kuna. Its price has weakened by 0.61 percent, to 203.1 kuna. Following is the stock of Đuro Đaković Holding, with a trading volume of 376,000 kuna. Its price has strengthened by 0.35 percent, to 77 kuna.
In otherwise quiet trading, the stock of Technique stands out with a price jump of 5.81 percent. At the same time, the stock of Zagrebačka Bank is noted for a price drop of 1.55 percent. European exchanges are also experiencing slight declines. Currently, the London FTSE is down 0.11 percent, the Frankfurt DAX is down 0.19 percent, and the Paris CAC is down 0.20 percent.
New guidance for investors will be provided today by the key employment report in the U.S. for November. It is estimated that 85,000 new jobs were created in the U.S. economy, while the unemployment rate remained at 7.9 percent.
