The company MasterCard is launching a new competition for the best mobile shopping applications in nine countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Turkey.
Nine countries will participate in this competition in 2013: Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Russia, and Turkey. The MasterCard Mobile Shopping Application Awards will recognize the best mobile applications that allow users to browse and optionally purchase products and services. Mobile applications that are already available in the official languages of the 9 participating countries can enter the competition, and they must be available on one of the following platforms: iOS, Android, or Windows Phone.
Applications will be evaluated and selected by an independent, international jury composed of renowned technology experts from the participating countries.
The top three applications in the 9 participating countries, as well as the top three applications in each individual market, will be awarded a trophy, a certificate, and the right to use the title ‘Winner of MasterCard Mobile Shopping Application Awards 2013’ and logo in communications for one year. The winner will be announced in the first quarter of 2013.
