The humanitarian action Step into Life, which has so far secured 121 student scholarships for girls and boys from homes for unaccompanied children and foster families, has continued for the fifth consecutive year.
The grand finale of this year’s ‘Step into Life’ action was marked by a charity concert of the Zagreb Philharmonic, featuring performances by Zoran Todorović, Valentina Fiječko, Lana Kos, and the choir of the Croatian National Theatre Opera, conducted by maestro Ivan Repušić. The concert was held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Ivo Josipović.
The Rotary Club Zagreb Kaptol continues to raise funds for the next generation of students, to whom scholarships will be awarded at the beginning of the next academic year. In addition to purchasing tickets for yesterday’s concert, citizens supported the action with a large number of calls to the humanitarian phone 060 9001, a number that has been provided by T-HT, one of the largest donors of the Step into Life action, since the very beginning. This year, 229,795 kuna was collected through the humanitarian phone. This year, INA also joined the large donor pool of the action, which will provide 5 scholarships for the next generation of students.
