In the coming days, the Hospital Rehabilitation Law will be published in the Official Gazette, announced Health Minister Rajko Ostojić.
After the publication, there will be a thirty-day period for founders to decide whether to rehabilitate the debts themselves or to hand over the management of the hospitals to the rehabilitation council, Ostojić said today at the General Hospital in Karlovac.
Each county will have one rehabilitation council, which will be coordinated by groups of experts from the Ministry of Health, Ostojić announced.
County Prefect Ivan Vučić stated that in slightly better economic times, the County would take over the debt of the General Hospital in Karlovac, which amounts to about thirty million kuna, but that is difficult now. He announced that the final decision will be made by the County Assembly in January.
