Practice shows that we are almost daily witnesses to the loss of valuable business information and data caused by negligence, carelessness, inattentiveness of employees or associates, theft (within the company, or by an unknown external perpetrator) or destruction of data (force majeure, flood, fire, earthquake, power outage, etc.), which result in operational difficulties and financial losses.
The consulting company MBOS Consulting Ltd. for personal and business security and RE-FORMA Ltd. for business consulting have decided to organize a half-day expert seminar titled ‘Protecting the Company’s Business Interests through Data Protection: How and Why to Protect Business Data and Information?’ which will be held on December 12 at Bogovićeva 1, HKD Napredak.
At the seminar, all present dangers arising from the field of information and data protection of the company will be presented, as well as possible variants of preventive action by the company and protection against unwanted losses.
For a safer and more profitable working environment, the human factor is also a decisive factor, so the seminar is an opportunity for company owners and experts in the field of business security to directly and meaningfully exchange experiences and potential solutions, as together they form a whole without which there is no security. Employers play a key role in developing business security, perceiving security as an investment rather than a cost.

The seminar is prepared for owners of small and medium-sized enterprises, general managers, HR managers, security business managers, IT sector associates, public administration employees, to familiarize themselves with the possibilities and dangers to which companies and bodies are increasingly exposed during the economic crisis, especially with an emphasis on ‘loyalty’.
The lecturers are Mate Laušić, a graduated criminologist, retired lieutenant general. He completed a scientific postgraduate study – majoring in foreign trade at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb (submitted a master’s thesis) and ‘Galillei College’ in Haifa, Israel. He also worked as the director of security for sports, cultural, and public events: Universiade, Eurobasket, World Championship in Shooting, and Eurovision in Zagreb. Since 1990, he has served as the head of security for the President of the Republic of Croatia, Dr. Franjo Tuđman. From 2002 to 2008, he worked as a corporate security advisor to the CEO of ‘Getro’. He is a lecturer at the VERN Polytechnic and the Zagreb Business School and the ‘Baltazar Krčelić’ Institute, as well as at many domestic and international professional conferences and a collaborator of most printed and electronic media on the topic of security.
