One of the wealthier Swedes, Johan Gorecki, is currently in Zagreb as he wishes to invest in Croatia and establish an investment fund here, said Darko Liović, the CEO of HAMAG, at the end of a press conference where the agency’s business results were presented.
Gorecki was involved in the establishment of Skype, a service that enables free calling which was sold to eBay for $4.1 billion in 2005.
Today, he is at the helm of the Global Forum, an institution that assists innovators and entrepreneurs.
During his visit in October, Gorecki stated that they are working to help entrepreneurs improve and sell their products, stay in touch with the industry, rather than just finding funds to grow. He added that developing markets are attractive to them – in terms of infrastructure, issues and challenges in the energy sector, water challenges, and waste.
