Croats Bought the Most Volkswagens This Year

In November, only 1,631 new cars were sold in Croatia, which is 18.3 percent less than in October and 46.2 percent less than in November of last year, according to data on new car registrations reported by the agency Promocija Plus.

From the beginning of the year until the end of November, 30,029 new cars were sold in Croatia, which is 23 percent less than in the same period last year.

The best-selling car brand so far this year in Croatia is Volkswagen, which sold 4,101 new cars in the Croatian market, achieving a market share of 13.6 percent.

Following with a share of 8.8 percent and 2,644 vehicles is Peugeot, while Opel ranks third with 2,527 sold cars and a market share of 8.4 percent. More than two thousand new cars were also sold in the first 11 months by Citroen and Renault. Among the top ten are also Hyundai, Chevrolet, Kia, Škoda, and Ford.

Among models, the best-selling car from the beginning of the year to the end of November is the Opel Astra with 1,202 units. The second is the Volkswagen Polo with 1,093 units, which concludes the list of cars with sales exceeding one thousand. Among the more popular models are also the Citroen C4, Volkswagen Golf, Opel Corsa, Hyundai i30, Peugeot 308, Renault Megane, Volkswagen Passat, and Škoda Octavia.
