Postal Services Market Declined by Four Percent

In the Croatian postal services market, the decline of these services continued in the third quarter of this year by approximately 4 percent compared to the second quarter of this year, and by 3.3 percent compared to the same period last year.

Such percentages of decline are the result of 82.1 million postal services achieved in Croatia in the third quarter of this year, with universal services accounting for 56 percent of total services. This increased the share of these services in the total number of postal services by 1 percent compared to the previous quarter of this year. The remaining 44 percent of the total number were other postal services.

Of the total number of services achieved, 77.4 million, or about 94 percent, were realized in domestic traffic, while 4.7 million, or about 6 percent, were in international traffic, which are approximately the same shares as in the previous quarter.

Croatian Post, with 54.7 million services achieved, holds a leading share of 66.7 percent in the total postal services market, while the cumulative share of all other service providers, of which there are 20 registered, is approximately 33 percent.

These shares, as emphasized by HAKOM, have not significantly changed compared to the previous quarter.
